The education system of Europe uses the ECTS (short for European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System)
is a system that binds points to subjects. If you pass a certain subject let's say philosophy, you get 2 or 4 ECTS point. Most courses in Europe usually have 60 points per semester per course for a total of 240 points in 4 years which university students have to get in order to get their bachelors degree
