A form of astroturfing, especially social media comments or other content generated to dilute or contradict the meaning, message, and/or impact of the material being discussed. See also "whataboutism" and "astroturfing"

I read an article about corrupt politicians and the first comment was some doomturfing trying to make it seem like that's normal.

The act of spreading doom and reasonably retarded facts around the internets.

Michele Bachman spends so much time doomtarding that she forgets her weekly botox injections.
