A form of astroturfing, especially social media comments or other content generated to dilute or contradict the meaning, message, and/or impact of the material being discussed. See also "whataboutism" and "astroturfing"

I read an article about corrupt politicians and the first comment was some doomturfing trying to make it seem like that's normal.
