A creature that is wise and has telekinesis, teleportation, and shape-shifting powers. They are created when a female under 50 is killed very brutally. They take the original form of themselves, but if you have sinned, they become an ugly beast and kill you brutally. If you are pure, have not sinned, then you will be spared. You would then be kidnapped and pampered like a queen. Animals were ALWAYS spared, no matter the size, and reputation.

The only way to avoid one is to never talk to strangers, let them in, or open your window.

The dervaki had killed Emily because Emily killed Meghan.
