coward's they

The use of they/them pronouns for a transgender person who does not use they/them pronouns, usually by someone who is either subtly transphobic, ignorant on trans people, or afraid of getting transphobes upset.

I'm glad that guy called her out for her behavior, but he was totally using the coward's they on her.
