contrivium

all those crazy science fiction materials with bizarre properties used to explain how the space travel gets around the laws of science.
contrivium is infinitely strong, lightweight, a room temperature superconductor, heatproof, and constantly emits high energy B.S. particles that can be used as a source of almost limitless energy.
engineer: "oh no! an engineering problem! what will we do?"

other engineer: "just build it out of contrivium!"

engineer: "oh yeah I forgot about that!"

centrivism

Centrivism is the approach to positive, meaningful and sustainable social change and public policy that seeks to find solutions that are broadly and diversely responsive to efficient and effective ideas and concerns of competing political factions. A person that actively practices or supports centrivism is a centrivist.
That woman running as an independent candidate is a wizard of centrivism. She is such a good listener and so creative in proposing solutions for the city that cause people who have been fighting over the problem to endorse compromises that are better than any of their original ideas.

Ad Proximum Convivium

A Latin term meaning "on to the next party." The "V's" are pronounced as "W's" as per traditional Latin prononciation. (Ad proximum conwiwium)

Popularized by the Seattle-based radio show/podcast Too Beautiful to Live (TBTL).
TBTL just got cancelled as a radio show, but is still a podcast. Oh well, ad proximum convivium, I suppose.

contriviation

(kuh-tri-vee-a-shon) – the act of contriving (plotting, inventing, scheming); confabulating evidence; presenting information as fact by distorting or misrepresenting truth
The monthly status report was regarded by informed stakeholders as contriviation.

Contriviation was the only plausible explanation for the story given to the police.

Masters of contriviation, they were able to get what ever they desired.
