mellophone player

a girl/guy who is incredibly unique and the other sections in the band hate but couldn't live without at the same time. Usually tend to be made of perverted, vulgar, out of shape, and funny individuals, who befriend everyone. They don't really take anything seriously and tend to joke throughout rehearsals but know their shit when competition comes around

flute player: omg did you see the mellophones they don't know what they're doing
low brass: naw the mellos are the shit
clarinet: they need to shut up
trumpet: mellophone is just a big trumpet
saxophones: wut
drum major: yea but they march hella good at competition
mellophone player: HELL FUCKING YEAH MAJESTIC AND SHIT

Cellphone Tai Chi

A series of movements one undertakes whilst attempting to find cellphone reception, resulting in an impromptu tai chi-like dance. The Cellphone Tai Chi generally involves the person holding their cellphone in the air while simultaneously walking slowly in circles.

Jiminy: Man, the reception here is really bad.
Harris: Gee, I agree. Look, Timmy's already doing the Cellphone Tai Chi over in the corner of the room.

Rude and annoying usage of a cell phone in public, caused by a ridiculous novelty ring or a personal and private conversation conducted in a loud voice and obnoxious manner. Common in classrooms, elevators, and cramped bus stops.

That guys cellphonery on the elevator ruined my day.
Turn off your ringers in class, we don't need any cellphonery in here.

mellophone

the most awesome instrument in marching band. in concert band, the mellophone players are french horn players, which epically pwn anyway, so when they change to mellophone, its just as awesome. people may make fun of them, but its just cause they're jealous.

trumpet player says: haha, stupid mellophones

trumpet player thinks: ahh, i wish i could be a mellophone. they look so cool.
