Annabelle rose bray is one of those people you don’t mess around with. She’ll tease the boys that like her but is very (very!) picky about who she will date. She has the bluest eyes you will look into and has beautiful curly hair. Annabelle may not be perfect when it comes to her complexion but she knows her flaws are what strengthens her. She has ups and downs and, yes, she regrets some things she’s done, but she will apologize if she knows she needs to. If you get a chance to hold on to an annabelle rose bray, do it. Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
