Big Baines is the larger of two big hills in the Anniston Alabama area, part of the former Fort McClellan US Army base. It was hiked by soldiers during their Basic Training. It was a rite of passage for many soldiers. The hike up Big Baines was generally done in the second half of your training (Usually during AIT)
