Banging tunes

A song that is loved by many on a huge scale. For example most of the music from 1999-2009 is classed in this category. The song 'where is the love' by the black eyed peas would be classed as a banging tune (TBH all black eyed peas songs are banging tunes.) but some songs are good just not quite to the level of banging that we might hope. Today's music will never amount to that of the past. It was a sad day for me when I spoke to a child who knew who iggy azalea was but had never heard of s club 7. What is the world coming to?

Bangin Tunes

A term used in the UK, commonly by people who lived through the 90's/00's and current 18-25 year olds. Most of the tunes are UK Garage, House and D&B tunes from the 90's, early-mid 00's (Bassline) and sometimes the less popular artists who still produce Bassline, House and UK Garage.
Dean: Dave mate, do you remember the bangin tunes we use to blast out of my old Fiesta back in the day?
Dave: I remember the days where we'd blast bangin tunes from artists like MJ Cole n stuff.

Purple Patch

To describe coming into something good, coming into good luck and or good times.

Like walking over small green hills in the countryside then coming across a purple patch of flowers, thus it being unique and out of the ordinary.
I hit a real purple patch.

The other day this good thing happened unexpectedly then I was lucky with this, it was unique, I hit a real purple patch.
