artpreneur

An artist and entrepreneur. An artist who sidesteps the traditional paths to success as an artist and independently sells their art.

I know someone who's a great graphic designer. His designs were selling like crazy. I would consider him to be an artistpreneur because he's able to successfully sell his designs to clients. Aside from excellent artistic skills, he has a great business acumen.
This artist is wildly successful selling their own art and not relying on galleries or dealers who take a huge cut of sales. This artist is a savvy artpreneur!
