Artjacking

Artjacking (noun) – The act of taking an existing artwork, artistic concept, or art-related event and recontextualizing it to serve a different purpose, message, or audience. Often done to provoke thought, amplify impact, or draw attention to a social, political, or environmental cause. Can be collaborative or unsolicited.
Example: The collective pulled off an artjacking by taking a gallery sculpture on tour to coastal towns before sinking it as an artificial reef to raise awareness about ocean health.

artjack

An example of artjack: take a shit, paint it gold, display in a contemporary art gallery, hire a recognized art critic, so he explains that this work of art (the golden shit of $ 1 million) is an abyss development of contemporary art and civilization that goes with it.
That's brilliant, attractive, fun, smart, it looks to be of value, but inside it's shit.
-this art gallery is full of artjack
