Zagabonding

The act of labeling unscrupulous operations as "learning experiences" at the expense and detriment of the affected masses. The methods of Zagabonding vary widely however the most common method consists of stealing large sums of money from less fortunate uneducated individuals and labeling it as a "learning experience". Professional practitioners of Zagabonding, also known as Zagabonds, have been known to be incredibly proficient at the task, oftentimes making 6-7 figures in a month's time.

The action of Zagabonding is most often observed directly on the internet due to its facilitation in escaping punishment. Individuals who have partaken in Zagabonding often times later seek online approval and acceptance from the very communities and groups they had harmed and used as "learning experiences”. The methods which Zagabonds use in order to acquire this acceptance can vary from simply tweeting an apology, to trying to compensate the affected communities long after the lasting damage has been done. In some extreme cases Zagabonds may even try to utilize financially and emotionally invested individuals to build online groups that are made to act tribalistically supportive and defensive of the Zagabond; these groups will defend the Zagabond's past actions regardless of their unethicalness.

More from Urban Dictionary
West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
