Vaxryism

Pronunciation:

VAKS-ree-izm

Part of Speech:

Noun (also functions as a lifestyle, psychological disorder, and part-time religion)

---

Definition:

Vaxryism is the uncontrollable urge to endlessly rice, tweak, and over-customize your Linux desktop—particularly with Hyprland—at the expense of actual productivity.

Followers of Vaxryism often believe they are increasing their efficiency, when in reality, they are trapped in a terminal of illusions, obsessing over transparency levels, blur radius, and anime wallpapers that they think it "improve focus."

It’s named after Vaxry, the creator of Hyprland, who (possibly accidentally) gave birth to a cult of aesthetic fanatics who believe minimalism must be achieved via maximum configurations.
> "Bro I was supposed to write my thesis today, but I spent all night tweaking my Hyprland Rice and ended up watching an Arch install video I’ve already memorized. I think I have full-blown Vaxryism."
