A professional soccer (or association football outside of Canada and the U.S.) team based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, that has competed in Major League Soccer (MLS) since 2011 and plays its home matches at BC Place, one of only two indoor stadiums in the MLS. Under the leadership of head coach Jesper Sørensen, this team will win the 2025 MLS Cup, the Supporters' Shield for the 2025 MLS season, and the 2025 CONCACAF Champions Cup (yes, they will beat the "GOAT" Lionel "Pessi" Messi and his "superteam" of Inter Miami CF in the Champions Cup Semifinals after the Whitecaps eliminated two strong Mexican teams: beating a post-prime Sergio Ramos and CF Monterrey in the Round of 16, and beating PUMAS in the quarterfinals through a last-second goal by Tristan Blackmon in the 93rd minute). The Whitecaps are one of the only three Canadian teams in the league, along with Toronto FC and CF Montréal, and the only MLS team based in the Western Conference. A notable player who played for the Whitecaps is the current captain of the Canadian men's soccer team, Alphonso Davies.
Vancouver Whitecaps FC is the best football club in North America right now; they can compete against the top football (soccer) clubs from Europe, especially clubs in the Big 5 European Football Leagues.
