Valadatorian
A person who genuinely believes they are the absolute best at their school or workplace, but only because they constantly manipulate others into giving them excessive praise. They require constant validation for doing the bare minimum—from simply showing up to completing basic, mundane tasks. Without a steady stream of external compliments, they mentally crumble. They are the exact opposite of a "dick-pigeon" (who gives themselves unearned praise); instead, a Valadatorian acts like an emotional energy vampire, draining everyone around them for direct compliments. Because of this exhausting behavior, they are usually universally disliked or unloved by their peers.

"Did you see Ray demanding a round of applause just for sending an email on time? He’s such a Valadatorian. If someone doesn't tell him he's a genius every five minutes, he acts like he's going to literally perish."
