Formed the basis of the USSR’s spearhead forces during the late Cold War and was viewed as a serious threat to NATO’s rear lines; directly led to development of both the P90 and MP7 personal defense weapons in NATO. Shockingly poor performance and tactics on all levels demonstrated in the Russo-Ukraine War.
