Though it is named after a Tuesday, the event occurs on a Wednesday to acknowledge the accomplishment of making it half way through the week, and thus surviving the beginning-of-the-week-blues that are typically associated with a Tuesday.
I think I will treat myself to the comfort of my favorite sweater and jeans on bluesday tuesday. That way, the week will become just a little bit more bearable...
