Someone who lent their precious AI tokens to a coworker—usually a Tokenboner—and now doesn’t have enough left to finish their own tasks.

A Tokenboned employee is basically the corporate version of someone who gave away their oxygen tank because “you looked like you needed it more.”

Tokenboner

A Tokenboner is that AI‑obsessed coworker who burns through their daily token allotment by 9:17 AM, then spends the rest of the day prowling the office like a digital junkyard scavenger.

They whisper things like “Hey… you got any tokens left?” with the same energy as someone trying to buy contraband behind a 7‑Eleven.

They don’t need caffeine. They run entirely on borrowed compute.

After generating 14,000 words of nonsense, Trevor became the office Tokenboner, haunting Slack channels and begging for tokens like a ghost who died mid‑prompt.

The Tokenboner approached me slowly, asking if I had ‘just a few tokens.’ I haven’t felt that hunted since the raccoon incident.
