A compound word sometimes used in 1970's and 80's New Zealand teenage lexicon to describe something that is cool or otherwise very agreeable.

I just saw that new movie "Star Wars". It was absolutely tin-arse.

In Australian slang, An exceptionally lucky person, especially in regards to money

"How does she always find the best stuff for free?"
"She can't help it, she's such a tin arse!"
