the knife

A way to describe a person who in the middle of a semi-circle conversation, slices his way into the middle then spreads himself out blocking all participants and from interacting with each other and making himself the center of attention.
The party was going great, and I was talking to all my friends until Tom the knife came and put himself right in the middle of our conversation cirlce. After that the party sucked.

The Knife Game

The most risky game ever. It is played by stabbing the table between your fingers while singing the Knife game song. Failing the game can result in serious injuries and possibly getting your finger cut off. Just don't do it, ok? Also, if you REALLY wanna do it, use the eraser side od a pencil or a closed pen. It's similar to a knife and it can't rick-roll your fingers.
Guy 1: I am gonna do the Knife game!
Guy 2: Don't do it! It ain't worth it!
--- ONLY 10 SECONDS LATER---
Guy 2: H- HELLO AMBULANCE, MY FRIEND JUST STABBED HIS HAND SO PLRASE HURRH UP!

Twisting the knife

Adding insult to injury; rubbing salt in the wounds; making a bad situation worse.
As if the Eurozone crisis wasn't hard enough on the public, the politicians' apparent lack of concern has been twisting the knife.

tread the knife

To successfully navigate through a tricky or dangerous situation.
I had to Tread The Knife last night when I got home to the wife with stripper glitter on my clothes.

Tim: "I have surgery next Wednesday. I have to take an

lick the knife

To give it your all. A saying coming from how Eskimos kill wolves by having them lick frozen seal blood off of knives, therefore the wolves gave literally everything to lick a knife.
That actor left everything on the stage. They really did lick the knife!
