The 17-Minute Rule

The ultimate group-chat protocol used to filter out trash movies and find a winner on movie night without wasting the entire evening. Because screenplays establish their main plot by minute 17, the group watches in absolute silence until the 17:00 mark.
At exactly 17 minutes, the vibe-check is initiated. If you aren't feeling it, you must declare to the room: "Ja sam spreman da ovo gasim" (I am ready to turn this garbage off). If the majority agrees, the movie is instantly killed, and you switch to a new one.
The rule allows for a maximum of 3 movie switches. If you hit a legendary streak of bad luck and all 3 options fail the 17-minute test, the group must democratically pick the "least terrible" one from the three and stick it out until the credits roll.
Friend 1: "Come on guys, let's try this sci-fi romance. The rating is actually really good and we should experiment with different genres for once instead of the usual stuff."
Friend 2: "Fine, we'll take the bait. Let's do The 17-Minute Rule."
(17 minutes of agonizing, slow-paced cinematic torture later...)
Friend 3: "Alright, time's up. Ja sam spreman da ovo gasim. This is pure trash."
Friend 2: "Bro, absolutely. Yebo te ovaj film. Put on a safe psychological thriller instead before we lose the whole night."
