To take credit means to accept honor for an achievement. The implication is that the honor is not deserved. Someone might take credit for inventing something.

Person A: Yo bro, thanks for turning the bully down.
Person B: It's okay bruv, not a big deal.
Person A: You probably should take credit for doing that.

You DID take credit for it you fucking cripple. When he made the video in response to the conservatives using him as a talking point and he said that he though it was kind of funny because he was talking about THEM... YOUR RESPONSE was that he was ungrateful and that "We are the one's who made him famous and a millionaire." You did EXACTLY THAT.
