Typical Southern Californian turn of phrase inappropriately adding "the" when referring to highway 101 despite the fact that "101" is in fact a proper name. Oddly enough, only applies to freeways.
Get on the fourth street, then take the G street down past the Pine avenue, turn left on the Broadway and get on the 101.

The way a true Southern Californian refers to Highway 101. Though greatly disputed by those from North California, this is the only correct way to refer to The 101.
Get on the 101 and take the first exit.

The IMPROPER way to refer to California's main highway.
It takes about three hours to get home if you take 101.

The Rift 101

The Rift 101, is the most awesome person ever. He's so ultimately awesome that he'll instantaniously kick your ass just by looking at you. He will grow up and invent the machine that makes bad people ugly. He will free the slaves up the river who live with Barry White and Walt Whitman, and his also ultimately awesome blue ox, Emily Dickinson, who happens to be in a relationship with space Santa. He will fix the people mover that Walt Whitman broke because Walt Whitman bought him a pistachio ice cream cone. He will restore Walt Whitman's name and give him back his trusty sweaty wrestler bazooka so he can destroy the evil looneytunes robot army which The Rift 101 will also create in the future to save humanity from the hellish minions of Wal Mart in 2034, and to aid the army of genetically engineered, highly civilized blue tigers who are pinned down on the planet Chenieg IV because thier BushWacker Rifles ran out of ammunition.

The Rift 101 is your future ruler. The Rift 101 is NOT fruit flavored. The Rift 101 will kick your ass so bad with his pinky that your dead ancestors will feel it.

The Rift 101 is da SHIZZ!
Pwang & Wanker. The best words ever.

The striver is an interesting phenomenon that is seen across college campuses. In essence, the striver is an over-achiever who comes from a working or middle class family. He may be an immigrant. He may have been a slacker in HS who was "born again" into an academic wunderkind. Or he may just be an over-achiever who is keeping at it.

The striver is willing to sacrifice his social life at the expense of Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. The striver is the guy who stays at the library long after you are gone. The striver is the guy who takes 30 credits/semester and considers anything below an A/4.0 failure. The striver doesn't work on campus, he is too busy finding ways to pad his resume instead of working retail or workstudy. The striver lets his grades pay his education by applying to ten scholarships a year.

The striver is a future Soros/Fullbright/Rhodes/Gates/Marshall/etc. fellow. The striver lives to study. For the striver, their fun comes from the rewards they expect to receive in return for their diligence. Be it Law School, B-School, academia, or politics. The striver seeks to find the American Dream through academic success.
Anthony was a striver. He transfered from a TTT to an IVY and graduated in 2 years. He studied his ass off and went to Penn Law. He got a Biglaw offer. But lost it all because of an unmoderated mesasgeboard.

Successful strivers:
- Barack Obama
- Harold Koh

SkyPesos

Delta SkyMiles, also known as SkyPesos, is the frequent flyer program of Delta Airlines. It has a very poor value and hard to use.
- I'm trying to book an award flight to Paris, but I only have 70,000 SkyPesos
- Just forget about it, you don't have enough SkyPesos to fly anywhere.
