TFAR

TFAR expands to Thala For a Reason. Mahendra Singh Dhoni was an Indian Cricketer, affectionately called Thala (Tamil, T: Leader) by his fans of franchise Chennai Super Kings. With rise in Social Media usage in India, several cricketers seemed to start having a cult following, lead by Captain of Indian and CSK team Dhoni himself. His fans would attribute a lot of good things that happened to India since 2007 when he first became a captain - as a sole contribution by Dhoni.

While some of the praise was well deserved, by the decade of 2020s, several memers identified a pattern of these obsessed fans commecting a random occurrence to contribution by Dhoni, such as Dhoni talking to an individual and they playing a good knock in next few days. In advanced form they would connect random things, scores adding up to the number 7(worn by Dhoni) and call it a destiny owing to Dhoni's influence.

TFAR in current form is a satire of fans obsession and cult worship for Dhoni.
