Stollberg-Beaches
Stollberg beaches, is a group name for some of Sweden's most contaminated beaches. Created between the years 1944 and 1982, the sand contains high amounts of lead, zinc, and arsenic. The beaches are extremely toxic to the surrounding wildlife and domestic animals such as dogs or cats. Spending time here can lead to Stollberg-beach-Syndrome, which is essentially getting sick from these heavy metals.
"Don't let your dog dig in the sand over there unless you want them to catch a serious case of Stollberg-beach-Syndrome. Those are the Stollberg-Beaches."
