A Schmaranzer is one of the most devastating defamations there is. Rooted in the german language, Schmaranzer is broadly used as a superlative of cursewords, often crossing the line of good taste and decency. Calling someone a Schmaranzer often comes with grave implications as it is hard to take back such a heavy and disrespectful insult.

Schmarandieren 

"Schmarandieren" is a German slang term meaning "to be on the verge of circulatory collapse due to excessive drug abuse." It‘s the longer and more meaningful version of the word „Schmarandern“, which basically means the same.

The word is used, as one might first suspect, not to draw attention to a medical emergency, but either to tell one's circle of friends how fucking high one is or as a question to make sure that the person in question is equally unearthly high. When someone is "am Schmarandieren“, respect is usually given in the form of an astonished laugh that would otherwise only be given as if you had just witnessed your own grandma doing 5 flic-flacs.
