Schmaranzer

A Schmaranzer is one of the most devastating defamations there is. Rooted in the german language, Schmaranzer is broadly used as a superlative of cursewords, often crossing the line of good taste and decency. Calling someone a Schmaranzer often comes with grave implications as it is hard to take back such a heavy and disrespectful insult.
He called him a Schmaranzer and then he snapped!
He stole all his grandmothers money before murdering her, what a schmaranzer.

Schmarandieren

"Schmarandieren" is a German slang term meaning "to be on the verge of circulatory collapse due to excessive drug abuse." It‘s the longer and more meaningful version of the word „Schmarandern“, which basically means the same.

The word is used, as one might first suspect, not to draw attention to a medical emergency, but either to tell one's circle of friends how fucking high one is or as a question to make sure that the person in question is equally unearthly high. When someone is "am Schmarandieren“, respect is usually given in the form of an astonished laugh that would otherwise only be given as if you had just witnessed your own grandma doing 5 flic-flacs.
Ey Jerry, bist du grade arg am schmarandieren?

(Hey Jerry, are you hardly „am Schmarandieren“ right now?)

Boah jungs, ich bin grade so am Schmarandern.
(Oh boys, i am very „am Schmarandieren“ right now.)

Auf ner skala von 1-10 wie arg bist du am schmarandieren?
(On a scale from 1-10 how hardly are you „am schmarandieren“ right now?)

abandonware

n. software that is no longer sold or supported by the original publisher / developer, often found as free downloads on the internet because it cannot be obtained elsewhere. Not legal, but often seen as morally acceptable because the company that made it is no longer selling the title, nor releasing it as freeware, therefore abandonware is "keeping the game alive", so to speak.
Doom II is not abandonware because id still sells it, while The Incredible Machine is not sold, therefore is abandonware.

Foot prisons

Socks. Annoying, sweat-causing, non-barefoot enducing, everyday socks.
The first thing I do when I take off my shoes, is rip off the foot prisons I had to wear inside them. That's why I prefer flip flops, even in winter!
