Schesionomy 

A fictional branch of physics used in Ceanothus 2722. Derived from the Greek word “schesis”, meaning relative disposition. Supposedly discovered in the late 21st century, it revolves around taking advantage of the universe being in a constant uniform vibration by influencing points in space that appear to be distant when in reality the universe actually moves those point closer as it vibrates; however it appears as teleporting energy from a perspective within the universe. This eventually leads to the technology that allows warp travel, artificial gravity, Higgs field disruption,!and FTL communitcation, among other things. It also led to the dualist hypothesis that consciousness derives from schesionomic influence from an outer-universe force, a philosophy known as “schesionomic soul”.

I studied schesionomy in my free time, but never professionally.

I once considered the philosophy of schesionomic soul.
