sanna marin

The 46th prime minister of Finland. She's amazing in every way. From her flawless ability to execute policy to her near-perfect political campaigning and ability, she truly, in the words of John Lennon, is a working-class hero, and couldn't the workers use a hero these days?
Milly: Paul, Sanna Marin is amazing, isn't she? O_O >///<

Paul: Milly, don't you have a boyfriend named Martin?

Sanna Marin

The enchantingly beautiful Prime Minister of Finland, mother to Emma Amalia Marin and wife to Markus Raikkonen. Managing one of the lowest rates of COVID-19 in Europe, she is truly the best leader to handle the protests that resulted in the resignation of Antti Rinne. Sanna Marin in an inspiration to us all, from having grown up in an LGBTQI household to becoming the youngest serving female political leader of her time. She is a great example for all of us to follow.
“Hey, that woman there is so pretty and smart! Such an inspiration to us all!”

That’s Sanna Marin! Shall we get her autograph?

santa marino

The Santa Marino was the little-known, fourth ship in Christopher Columbus' fleet.
Too bad about the Santa Marino. Perhaps one day, someone will be named after it.

Fogey/fogy /fougi/ sl. (early 18C+, orig. Scot) old-fashioned, stuck-in-the mud.
Person with old fashioned ideas which he is unwilling to change: Come to the disco and stop being such an old fogey!
You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue? You fenians forget some things. (James Joyce, Ulysses. Penguin Books,1992. p. 38)
