Ru'ing It

A multi-step social art form that allows for successful persuasion, attendance and exit of one's own hosted events.

The 5 steps are: hyping, owning, embracing, skipping, and demanding.

Step 1: Hyping

Upon the day of the event, a "Ru'er" will send a plethora of social content (preferably snapchats) to all invited members. This surfaces the invitee's inner FOMO to the highest degree.

Step 2: Owning

Once the hype is created, the "Ru'er" will need to ensure the social event matches the hype. This may consist of a fine tuned musical playlist, table games, and the finest adult beverages.

Step 3: Embracing

With the planning complete, said "Ru'er" must embody the social environment they've created. When leading by example, the notion of embracing the setting can be contagious, resulting in high levels of social affinity.

Step 4: Skipping

A "Ru'er" will not witness the demise of their own event. Therefore, this step requires both a mental and physical aspect. One must enter a mindset where no new information can be processed, while simultaneously exiting the social event without prior notice, in a sprint like fashion.

Step 5: Demanding

After exiting the social event, a person who "Ru's it" may attend the finest, expedient dining establishments and demand, at extravagant hours nonetheless, their finest cuisine. These demands can be requested from multiple locations at once. Consumption and payment may be optional.

Foot prisons

Socks. Annoying, sweat-causing, non-barefoot enducing, everyday socks.
The first thing I do when I take off my shoes, is rip off the foot prisons I had to wear inside them. That's why I prefer flip flops, even in winter!
