A term used to describe the person, entity, or figure with the highest level of wealth ever recorded or widely recognized. It is commonly used in finance, social media, and “flex” culture as a ranking label for extreme wealth. In broader slang use among peers, it can also describe someone who always seems to have extra money or is consistently the most financially comfortable in the group.
Similar to how “GOAT” (Greatest Of All Time) becomes “GOATED,” someone at the top of wealth status is referred to as the ROAT, and is often described as being “ROATED.”
