A small 1.8L 4 cylinder engine produced by Honda Motor. Launched in 2006 for the 8th generation Honda Civic, it quickly gained popularity among people who don't want to spend that much on the Civic Si, but want to join the rice game as well. R18A1 Civics are usually cosmetically and acoustically moded only. Mostly modded to look like the FD2R counterpart which is also a Civic, but it's JDM 8th generation Civic Type R and is actually fast.
