The opposite of pickpocketing. Involves placing something into someone's pocket without their knowledge. Often used by street performers or musicians as a promotional tool. Can also be great fun with strangers and random embarrassing items.

No one came to my last show. Time to try putpocketing the flyers!

Putpocketing is the art of placing one's own objects into the possession of another, either for entertainment or a charitable matter. Known by most for its reoccuring role in that low-budget flick "El No Arrepentido."

put pocketing 

When a person puts something into your pocket. It is the same as reverse pick pocketing. It is done by some advertising agencies to promote their product.

The advertisers are getting more aggressive and cheap with their put pocketing campaigns. At one time they would put a fiver in the pocket with their ads. Now they put tasteless trinkets of negative value.
