Pseudoargument

As opposed to an argument, which aims to convince a party with conflicting opinions, a pseudoargument is a statement that only appeals to those who are already of the same opinion as you. Arguments bring people together, while pseudoarguments act as polarising agents, and are merely used to seek validation from people who already agree with you.
That’s just a pseudoargument. It does not counter what they are saying.
