A standard series of questions, or line of questioning, designed to draw information regarding, or in search of, insight into how someone was persuaded into a certain direction, or mindset, of thinking.
By all means, ride that high horse off in to the sunset, I just want to know why he picked the direction he's headed off in. Is that too much to ask? These are standard pregunsuasions after all.
