Picamara

A patty made without animal resources, vegan. Plural: "picamaras".

The word "picamara" was created in response to the growing need for vegan food to have unique and distinguishable names, after events such as the US state of Arkansas proposing to outlaw the use of terms like "burger" and "sausage" on products that are not made from animals.

"Oh you made a mushroom hamburger? / Nah, burgers have meat, this is a mushroom picamara."
