To scroll through social media feeds out of nothing but internalized habit.
This act doesn’t provide any productive value whatsoever and all the items on one’s feeds simply elicit canned laughs or anger.

A direct descendant of “doomscrolling”.

A: Are you just vainscrolling? Go do something productive with your life for once, faggot.
B: It’s hard not to. You don’t understand. My brain is so normalized to this ritual it’s hard to go against it.
