pablo honey

Underrated Radiohead debut, featuring Radiohead classics You, Blow Out, Lurgee, Anyone Can Play Guitar, and, perhaps Radiohead's most popular song, Creep. Often forgotten by even the most diehard Radiohead fans because it is Radiohead's weakest album, even though, by itself, it is a solid record.
Kid A: That song You where Thom has that sick scream, is that on The Bends?

Kid B: No dude, that's off their first album, Pablo Honey.

Pablo Honey

The debut album by English rock band Radiohead released in 1993. It is generally ignored in favour of some of their later releases, but the fact remains that this album serves as an exceptional debut. It initially received little to no critical acclaim, though it was commercially successful by way of the radio-ready single "Creep," which became an international mega-hit.
Despite it being largely ignored, Pablo Honey is full of several great tracks including the album opener "You," the super-hit "Creep," and the psychedelic closer "Blow Out," not to mention songs that will remain stuck in your head for days such as "Stop Whispering" and "Anyone Can Play Guitar." Pablo Honey should be reevaluated not as a world-changing manifesto, but as an entirely unimpeachable rock record with clear influence from U2, Pixies, the Smiths, and R.E.M.
Radiohead's debut album, Pablo Honey, is super underrated!

pablo honey

An album put forth by an unknown indie band in an effort to appeal to the masses. Classic examples are Nirvana's Nevermind and Radiohead's Pablo Honey. Both albums have an annoying pop sensibility that has not been well received in the indie world. Ironically, these albums launched both of these band's commercial careers.
Dude, I think we should do a pablo honey, we need to start making money. Then we can do whatever the fuck we want!

Pablo Honey Syndrome

When a perfectly good album gets a bad reputation due to it not being quite as good as the other albums in an artist’s discography. Refers to Radiohead’s 1993 debut album Pablo Honey, which while generally considered their weakest album, is still a good 90s rock album.
It’s a shame that people don’t seem to like Björk’s Volta that much.

It’s still a good album, it just suffers from Pablo Honey Syndrome.
The grindset is a contemporary ideology of self-exploitation disguised as strength, deeply tied to the aesthetics of the “sigma male” and to new digital forms of patriarchy. It promotes the idea that human worth depends on productivity, economic success, absolute emotional control, and the ability to work endlessly, turning vulnerability, rest, community, and tenderness into signs of weakness. Beneath its rhetoric of discipline and power often lies a profound inability to relate healthily to pain, fragility, and human interdependence.
“That’s the grindset, brother. While weak men sleep and complain, sigma males stay disciplined, work in silence, suppress emotions, and build power while everyone else wastes time chasing comfort.”

An Irish phrase meaning shit, derived from ass
(Not to be confused with the literal description of one's buttocks)
"Did you hear the song Aylek$ dropped?"
"Hardly. Her music is absolute cheeks."

"My boyfriend say LaFlame is cheeks."
"Tell your boyfriend I said it's his mixtape that's cheeks."
