Just another word refering to ohio the 17th state in the union. More of a slang term used by residents of the state in vernacular speach.

1. noun. Ohio as pronounced by people near Cleveland.
2. noun: Used to refer to the state of Ohio by nincompoops that moved from Pennsylvania to Ohio as a result of making poor decisions.

I'm moving to Ohiah because I lost my job in Pittsburgh for making a few bad choices.

Ohialect 

An Englishlike dialect spoken in non-urban environments of Ohio, where 'Oh' sounds are pronounced 'Uh'. For instance, Ohio is pronounced 'Uhiuh' and window is pronounced 'winduh'. Not to be mistaken for Kentucky hillspeak where they would say 'wind'er'

ohiamsoindie 

someone who says thinks but never says "oh i am so indie". They can be found by asking them about various bands such as the smiths, joy division, the cure, and despite owning t-shirts by them and constantly quoting songs such as "there's a light that never goes out" and "love will tear us apart' have only every heard the one song due to it being on a popular "INDIE" film (cough cough 500 days of summer) or because they asked their mum about 80's indie bands and she replied oh that love will tear us apart song. They don't actually like the music but because it has become cool to look like you don't care/ have just got up, and have been to lots of gigs and lead an incredibly interesting life, including an enriched up bringing of good music. They listen to it, it is because of these people indie or what i prefer to call ALTERNATIVE no longer exists. shame....

person-"oh i like your t-shirt, i never knew you liked the smiths whats your favorite song?"
ohiamsoindie person-"well yeah obviously i love them there like the best band ever,, ermmm i dunno thats a hard question, id say theres i light that never goes out?"
person-"bye."

The Ohian is a species of monkey mainly found in Ohio. They can, but rarely, speak English. There is a sub-species called the Ohian Hooman, where a human turns into an Ohian at night.
