Milleniumpunk

A punk subgenre found in litterature, movies, videogames and other media. Its aesthetic mainly focusses on a world that is stuck in the late 90s to early 2000s and has never moved on, borrowing themes from Mark Fisher's Lost Futures theory and borrows aesthetic themes from Frutiger Aero, Dreamcore, Weirdcore and Vaporwave, but obviously its main aesthetic theme is the Y2K aesthetic of the New Millenium, thus the name.
The goal of the Milleniumpunk aesthetic, besides creating a form of familiarity and nostalgia, is to also emphasise on the Y2K bubble, with each universe represented in pop culture, such as movies and litterature, being shown as both a utopian place, with people dreaming about a prosperous future, while also being a dystopian one, with countless threats, such as an economic crisis threatening to destroy that bubble, thus the dreamy and cozy feeling the entire time.
Milleniumpunk borrows heavily from other punk genres, such as Dieselpunk, Steampunk and Cyberpunk, thus most of the tymes called Neo-Dieselpunk or Meta-Cyberpunk
A: Hey, I just had a dream that we were back in 2004, lights flashing everywhere, people hanging out until late and shops full of customers, only it wasn't Christmas or a special celebration, but a normal evening.
B: Dude, that's so Milleniumpunk!

A: Look at this iMac G3 on his desk! Gosh, that's almost two decades old, but looks like it's from the future, or are we stuck in the past?
B: We're tripping in a Milleniumpunk fever dream, then!

Stealthie

when you're holding up your phone and making faces at it, as though you are taking a selfie, but you're really taking a picture of the person across from you or the wall or anything else that seems interesting but you don't want to be caught dead taking a picture of.

This action is often made more convincing by wiggling the eyebrows or opening the mouth, to pretend you're trying to get a Snapchat filter to work.
FRIEND A: "Did you just take a stealthie of me?"

FRIEND B (turning phone around): "no I was just using snapchat's new filter, see?"

The grindset is a contemporary ideology of self-exploitation disguised as strength, deeply tied to the aesthetics of the “sigma male” and to new digital forms of patriarchy. It promotes the idea that human worth depends on productivity, economic success, absolute emotional control, and the ability to work endlessly, turning vulnerability, rest, community, and tenderness into signs of weakness. Beneath its rhetoric of discipline and power often lies a profound inability to relate healthily to pain, fragility, and human interdependence.
“That’s the grindset, brother. While weak men sleep and complain, sigma males stay disciplined, work in silence, suppress emotions, and build power while everyone else wastes time chasing comfort.”
