Kander czout

(Pronounced /kɑ ṇðuṛ t͡soṭ/ ) It’s a name for kashmiri breads that are made in Kashmir. “Kander” means ‘baker’ and “czout” means ‘bread.’ There are different types of such breads which are made in tandoors(clay ovens). For example ‘girda’ is a crisp golden thick bread which has vertical patters, and ‘lavasa’ is a thin unleavened bread which has blisters on surface. They’re usually had in breakfast with noon chai (salty tea)
