Japanese Culture

The rich culture and history of Japan and it's people. While it should be loved and respected, it should not be obsessed with and worshiped, as many American Anime fans do today. Many of the said fans will claim to know everything about Japan and it's history simply because they watched an Anime. Usually Anime/Manga is the only thing they really like about Japan. If you are Japanese (like myself), many of these fans will come up to you and randomly say words from the Japanese language and expect you to be impressed. They will also expect every Japanese person to be as in love with anime as they are, and will hate you if you simply say you don't care for anime.
Anime Fan: Hey! Did you watch (Insert Anime here)? It's so awesome! Because I've watched it, I know everything about Japanese Culture! Plus, (Insert random character here) is so hot!

Me: No, Honestly I don't care for Anime. And Frankly, I don't find fictional characters attractive, given the fact that they're fictional.

Anime Fan: But you're Japanese! You have to like Anime!

me: Well, I don't.

Anime Fan: You Hater! I thought you were Baka, but I was wrong!

me: *Rolls eyes*

Japanese Cultural Obsession Disorder

Japanese Cultural Obsession Disorder (JCOD) is a disorder in people (usually white men. white women can be too) where they are obsessed with Japanese Culture. It can be a phase or chronic. Cases include:

Mild: Likes japanese culture. Watches anime but other shows too. Talks about it rarely so it’s not annoying. Eats japanese food a good bit. When someone doesn’t like the culture, they respect their opinion. This is Usually Chronic.

Mid: Loves japanese culture. They watch anime a lot and rarely watch other shows. They talk about the culture a lot, and they eat japanese food a lot. When someone doesn’t like the culture, they say “ok” but are mad about it. This can be Chronic or a Phase.

Severe: Extremely Obsessed with the culture. All they watch is anime. All they talk about is japanese culture. They eat japanese food for most of their meals. When someone doesn’t like the culture, they get super defensive about it and if it’s their friend, they unfriend them. In rare cases, they may even be part of the buddhist religion. This is usually a phase.

Please keep in mind that JCOD doesn’t affect Japanese People because this is their culture that they are part of.
Mild:

Hobo 1: I don’t like sushi
Hobo 2: That’s fine. I like it.

Mid:
Hobo 1: I don’t like anime
Hobo 2: Ok
(later in the day hobo 2 acts like a dick)

Severe
Hobo 1: I don’t like sushi
Hobo 2: F**k you. We’re not friends anymore
Hobo 1: Bro u got japanese cultural obsession disorder

flophouse

Any house/apartment/frat house/trailer/etc. which is used for individuals to crash (sleep, chill, hang out, lurk, etc.) for a period of time. In order to "crash", one must not actually live there (e.g. have their name on the lease, own said flophouse, etc.). Flophouses are typically used by college students, drug addicts, transients, vagrants, or other unsavory characters.

A flophouse may also be the home owned by the parents of a college student, who after being away at college, wishes to live as if he/she is still at college (e.g. staying out all night, returning just to crash at mom and dad's house, then leaving again), rather than conforming to the pre-college rules.
Example #1
Dude: (Talking to someone passed out face first on the floor of his college apartment) Hey man, who the hell are you? What do you think this is, a flophouse??

Bro: Sorry dude, I must have passed out for a minute.

Example #2
Mom: Where have you BEEN for the last three days? You come home just to sleep?? What do you think this is, a flophouse??!!

Son: What's your problem? I'm an adult now!

Hate Sink

A person you hate intensely not because they deserve such hatred but because they serve as a focus for your general hatred. A healthy way to dispense with excess animosity.
Jake's not really that big an asshole. He just serves as my hate sink.

A toe rag was originally a foot wrapping used, since mediaeval times up until the mid-nineteenth century, to protect the foot from chafing by boots or shoes. As these were, quite literally, rags they weren’t usually washed, and so with use they became very smelly until they were thrown away. Because of the similarity in smell, toe rag also became the name applied to dried, salted cod or other things with a strong, unpleasant, fishy smell. It didn’t take that long before the name was applied to someone who was an obnoxious, unpleasant OIC.
1 “Socks! Those aren’t socks you smelly git, they’re toe rags!”
2 “What have you been cooking? Smells like toe rag!”
3 “I can smell ‘er fanny from ‘ere, proper toe rag.”
4 That Heale Malcolm is a right toe rag.

Eternity leave

When some resigns or retires from a job, they are on "eternity leave". This can also refer to someone who has passed away, especially someone who worked somewhere for a long time, retired/resigned, then passed away later.
Oh I'm sorry, you didn't know that Kelly is on eternity leave? She resigned and moved to Hawaii!

With regrets I would like to inform you that my boss is officially on eternity leave. I will never see or hear them again. Ever.
