Hobby purging is when enjoying a small hobby an extremely large amount of people (usually 500k and over) “purge” the hobby by coming in, telling you that you are pretending/larping and then the people proceed to “larp" themselves, misuse all the terms in the hobby, pretend they know everything, and destroy the hobby and eventually make fun of people for participating in or liking the hobby.
