Gengreek

A bunch of humans of either partial or full Greek genetic and cultural heritage, generally living outside of Greece due to a migration pattern of a previous era which may have been due to attempted genocide at least partially, fully and/or in multiple places hence influencing a unique migration pattern, these humans may or may not be deemable as Greek by patriotic Greek nationalists although it is not unlikely that there is a fading ancestral tie in Greece and some fading cultural traditions lingering.

These lingering cultural traditions are sometimes laughed at as an attempt to be Greek by Greeks who fully identify as straight out Greek, this fact is completely at odds with the fact that the remaining traditional elements are mostly true preservations unchanged from its root.

Gen prefix denoting either genetic, genocidal or both.

The more eloquent Gengreeks may like to call themselves Genhellenes as Hellene is a more formal word for Greek deriving from the Greek word for Greeks being Ellines.

Some Greeks who fully identify as Greek are technically Gengreek such as the once were affluent Greek Cypriot survivors of the attack on Northern Cyprus who were forced out of their true homeland in the 1970s and granted refugee status.
Stavroula’s such a Gengreek, she’s got a Greek name but she’s soooo Aussie, she’s probably named after her grandma.

Shane hasn’t got a Greek name but he looks like an ethnic and likes Greek food, what a weirdo Greeks think he’s trying to be like them and just a wannabe Greek. He must be one of those new Gengreek people who are still half Greek properly kinda.

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.
