Food Run

(n) the event of leaving school, work, or the house to quickly pick up food for and/or with one's friends. It may occur in groups or it may be done solo, but if it is done alone, the food is brought back to the person's friends.

Person 1: Jimmy went on a food run during his lunch break.
Person 2: But his lunch break is only 20 minutes!

When you plan a long run, typically between 7 and 20 miles, to end at a destination for food you would only eat after having finished a long run.

"I mapped a 10-mile food run from lower Manhattan to Bensonhurst because I wanted to reward myself with a giant bowl of pho and vietnamese snacks at the end. (Nevermind that that I live less than a mile away from perfectly delicious pho!)"

In the restaurant industry, food runners work with the kitchen staff and the serves to ensure that the client gets their food correctly and in good time.

They are blamed for everything that gose wrong with the serves, in the kitchen and in life. A food runner just has to keep running food and apologize for something they did not do in order to keep the flow going.

Basically: Run, run, run!!! Screaming, yelling, insulting & no one thanks you for your hard work.

Hey! food runner where's the food for table 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 ....21??? They have been waiting a long time!!!

Foodrunk 

The sensation occurring due to extreme overconsumption of edible material. Similar in effect to the sensation caused by overconsumption of alcoholic beverages - hence similarity to word "drunk".

I went out for a meal last night - had thirds because it was delicious and ended up completely foodrunk.
