Fobbit

A term used to describe soldiers in Iraq that rarely if ever leave the relative safety of the Forward Operating Base (FOB). This is a perjoritive term used by soldiers that spend a lot of time outside the wire beaing shot at and dodging road-side bombs, for those soldiers that live a safer and more comfortable life.

The damn fobbits all seem to be getting the new armor before we do, and they don't even need it.

"FUFB!" A chalk message on my platoons vehicles that loosely translates to "F#@k yoU FoBbits!

Fobbing

Verb. The act of crying to, for, over, or because of the band Fall Out Boy. The occurrence of sobbing uncontrollably to FOB's music was happening enough that it deserved it's own word. It is not uncommon to 'fob', especially when seeing FOB live.

Person 1: Any Fall Out Boy song is great to make out to, except for 'What a Catch, Donnie', because no one wants to make out while crying.

Person 2: You mean no one wants to make out while fobbing? Yeah, no kidding.

The name of those who choose to stay on base rather than run missions on a FOB (Forward Operating Base). Term usually used for grunts when talking about the annoying admin guy.

To convert into a FOB (fresh of the boat). Results may include (but not limited to) the following: 1) the mullet haircut, 2) the use of the peace sign in pictures, 3) overuse of "Asian" emoticons, such as V^_^V, 4)wearing a mini skirt with colored stockings and knee high boots, 5) listening to only Asian music.

Spending a year in China is going to completely fobbify her.
