When a tourist visits a place they failed to do proper research or ignore posted warnings and end up on an unexpected detour of their ill planned visit like being stranded, abducted, maimed, injured, hospitalized, or unalived.

Glen went from being a tourist to a detourist when he chose to ignore the posted warning signs, walked up to pet a wild buffalo, and ended up in the hospitol with six broken ribs and a cracked collar bone.
