Derpy Hooves

Derpy Hooves is the name given to a gray pegasus pony with a cutie mark of bubbles, by the brony community.

She is mostly seen with crossed, or otherwise distorted eyes, and may very well have been creator goofing around or making a mistake.

Many people have Derpy as their favorite pony, and there is even a flash game named Derpy Delivery in development.

Derpys real name may be Ditzy Doo, since it is referenced in the Winter Wrap Up episode, and was also mentioned by Lauren Faust.

There's many instances where multiple Derpy's can be seen in a single frame of the show, but the most common ones have only 1, and her eyes are derped out.

There is only 2 currently possible speech lines for Derpy, one being Muffins, and the other being a mess of hushed speaking in a crowd when Trixie, another pony from the show, is showing off.
Derpy Hooves is almost completely fan made, never the less she is one of the most popular.

Derpy Hooves

A grey pegasus pony and minor character in the cartoon series My Little Pony. She is best known for her clumsiness and cross-eyed gaze. Originally named Ditzy Doo, she quickly became a favorite among bronies. She likes muffins and delivering mail.
Derpy Hooves can count to muffin. She is not a clever pony.

flophouse

Any house/apartment/frat house/trailer/etc. which is used for individuals to crash (sleep, chill, hang out, lurk, etc.) for a period of time. In order to "crash", one must not actually live there (e.g. have their name on the lease, own said flophouse, etc.). Flophouses are typically used by college students, drug addicts, transients, vagrants, or other unsavory characters.

A flophouse may also be the home owned by the parents of a college student, who after being away at college, wishes to live as if he/she is still at college (e.g. staying out all night, returning just to crash at mom and dad's house, then leaving again), rather than conforming to the pre-college rules.
Example #1
Dude: (Talking to someone passed out face first on the floor of his college apartment) Hey man, who the hell are you? What do you think this is, a flophouse??

Bro: Sorry dude, I must have passed out for a minute.

Example #2
Mom: Where have you BEEN for the last three days? You come home just to sleep?? What do you think this is, a flophouse??!!

Son: What's your problem? I'm an adult now!

Hate Sink

A person you hate intensely not because they deserve such hatred but because they serve as a focus for your general hatred. A healthy way to dispense with excess animosity.
Jake's not really that big an asshole. He just serves as my hate sink.

A toe rag was originally a foot wrapping used, since mediaeval times up until the mid-nineteenth century, to protect the foot from chafing by boots or shoes. As these were, quite literally, rags they weren’t usually washed, and so with use they became very smelly until they were thrown away. Because of the similarity in smell, toe rag also became the name applied to dried, salted cod or other things with a strong, unpleasant, fishy smell. It didn’t take that long before the name was applied to someone who was an obnoxious, unpleasant OIC.
1 “Socks! Those aren’t socks you smelly git, they’re toe rags!”
2 “What have you been cooking? Smells like toe rag!”
3 “I can smell ‘er fanny from ‘ere, proper toe rag.”
4 That Heale Malcolm is a right toe rag.

Eternity leave

When some resigns or retires from a job, they are on "eternity leave". This can also refer to someone who has passed away, especially someone who worked somewhere for a long time, retired/resigned, then passed away later.
Oh I'm sorry, you didn't know that Kelly is on eternity leave? She resigned and moved to Hawaii!

With regrets I would like to inform you that my boss is officially on eternity leave. I will never see or hear them again. Ever.
