The teachers stay for a maximum of 5 years before leaving for a better position at another school so they no longer have to live on the two cents per year DCCS pays them. Wastes humongous amounts of time in class praying or preaching instead of teaching the material.

When some resigns or retires from a job, they are on "eternity leave". This can also refer to someone who has passed away, especially someone who worked somewhere for a long time, retired/resigned, then passed away later.
