To take a largely unknown indie band or song and make it popular by including it in a mainstream film or commercial, thereby "ruining" the band for its original (and somewhat elitist) indie fans.
Origin: Term developed after Zach Braff included the music of The Shins in Garden State.
"I deleted all my Feist MP3s after iPod Brafficated '1-2-3-4'."
Mark: yo Alex, look at those blAfricans over there.
Alex: Dude, there are so many of them
Mark: wait a minute, that one chick in the back isn't a blAfrican
Alex: You're right, thats Thadius, he's the opposite of a male blAfrican...he's a whitelesbian
Used only when a white person is speaking to or around a black person. Occurs when the white person begins to say "black" and quickly corrects him/herself to say "African-American"
The word formed when a white person attempts to glibly correct himself to soundPC, but had already started to say "black." This term usually comes out when the speaker suddenly remembers he is in the company of blafrican-americans.
"Why does Chad insist on referring to himself as 'C-dawg'. Does he think he is blafrican-american? Oh, hi Tyrone."
