Antichrist Superstar

Shock-rock band Marilyn Manson's second legitimate album, released in 1996. Many count it as the third, when they include his Smells Like Children remix EP.

The album includes three main singles, "The Beautiful People", "Tourniquet" and "The Man That You Fear", and is considered a "concept album", in a three-part storyline about an abused and apathetic character, the Worm, who becomes a big rock star and finally becomes the Almighty Disentegrator.

The album is a cyclical, as both opening and closing seconds include the distorted phrase "When you are suffering, know that I have betrayed you." When the album is placed on loop, the pacing between the sentences matches that of the additional distorted recitation found in the preceding hidden track.

CD CASE:
It has elaborate packaging, consisting of a black cardstock sleeve covering the plastic jewel case with graphics of Manson on both the front and back, the latter of which is flanked by the red Superstar Shock logo and the roman numerals IX, VI, III and VII. The booklet contains pictures of the band, a visual worm-to-angel metamorphosis, symbols related to the Kabbalah, medical diagrams, printed lyrics to each song, and liner notes including traditional thanks and credits as well as a curious entry found under the lyrics to the song "Irresponsible Hate Anthem", stating it was recorded live on February 14, 1997, despite the album being released well before that in October of 1996.

Antichrist Superstar

Antichrist Superstar is an epic rock opera / concept album about a nobody called "The Worm" who transforms himself from a self-abusive demagogue into an apocalyptic Nietzschean ubermensch. How fucking epic is that?

Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, eat your heart out.
Antichrist Superstar is one of the greatest albums of the 90's. Ambitious as fuck.
An Irish phrase meaning shit, derived from ass
(Not to be confused with the literal description of one's buttocks)
"Did you hear the song Aylek$ dropped?"
"Hardly. Her music is absolute cheeks."

"My boyfriend say LaFlame is cheeks."
"Tell your boyfriend I said it's his mixtape that's cheeks."

Breadhead

Someone who is addicted to obtaining money and building wealth. A money addict and fanatic. Breadheads often work more than one full-time job, and some even participate in illicit activities to "obtain the bread".
A breadhead is like a crackhead, but for money instead of crack.

Stink lines

As seen in illustrations or cartoons: Wavy, vertical lines rising above a person, place or thing. Denotes a foul odor.
"You didn't put enough stink lines on your picture of the teacher."

schmegegge

Yiddish slang word meaning bullshit, baloney, hogwash, nonsense, crock of shit or hot air.
I don't buy the schmegegge about Morty sleeping with Moira.
His version of the story was pure schmegegge.
The whole schmegegge was made up to get Liz a little bit of attention.
